Southwest Greens Central Europe IN CITY GOLF Innsbruck 2021 presented by Engel & Völkers Tirol
16th-17th July 2021 Official Tournament
23th October 2019 – Promo Event
Golfing across Innsbruck: What until recently was only a dream for golf enthusiasts became reality on July 17th in the city center of Innsbruck. 18 “holes” at the most beautiful sights of the Tyrolean capital. From the “Field Goal” at the Football stadium at the Olympiaworld or the “Casino Innsbruck Roulette Challenge” under the Golden Roof, to the hole from the roof of the AC Hotel Innsbruck down to the Casinoplatz, the players had the unique opportunity to visit the Alpine Urban Center of Innsbruck to discover it in a completely new way, with the golf bag on the back and the club in hand.
“In City Golf Innsbruck 2021 offered the unique opportunity to bring golf to the people in the city. Here passers-by and spectators had the opportunity to get in touch with golf for the first time, and to try their hand at the public hole on Landhausplatz”
so Peter Enzinger, President the Austrian Golf Association, about the event.
In addition to the Special Olympics Golf Team Austria with Anna M chler, Katharina Swanson, Lorenzo Holzer and Aaron Joynson, the two ski legends Stefan Eberharter and Kristian Ghedina were also at the tee off. Gerhard Karl, main sponsor and CEO of Southwest Greens Central Europe, said about the event:
“For me, In City Golf is the epitome of joy. It is a wonderful event that combines conviviality, fun, golf and business. I hope the participants had a lot of fun and saw why more than 70 of the most successful PGA Tour players train on our artificial golf greens!”
Since COVID-19 caused the organizers to postpone the event from last year to 2021, In City Golf celebrated its 11th birthday this year in the midst of a very special setting, namely the Casino Innsbruck – the social hub in the heart of the Alps – known as one of the most popular casinos in Austria. On this special occasion, the organizer, Kurt Anrather, welcomed representatives from all previous venues (Cortina d’Ampezzo, Florence, Verona, Berlin, Livigno, Vienna, Merano, Trento and the world exhibition EXPO 2015 in Milan) to celebrate together the anniversary.
Innsbruck is the capital city of Tyrol in western Austria and the fifth-largest city in Austria. With its versatility, Innsbruck offers everything you could wish for and stands out with its unique cultural and sporting offer!
