Presentation Destination Verona & Garda Foundation

Since its founding in 2022, the Destination Verona & Garda Foundation has been working to strengthen territorial cohesion between OGD Verona and Lago di Garda Veneto, thereby promoting a unified narrative of the destination. Every initiative introduced aims to support a harmonious valorization of a territory characterized by unique features that, at the same time, make each area of the Verona province unique. To achieve this, it is essential to continuously invest in mediating, coordinating, and especially listening to both tourism operators and public and private partners, in order to implement strategic collaborations for the growth of domestic and international tourist attractiveness. This synergy is concretely expressed in the Foundation’s new product catalog, offering authentic experiences that highlight the typical features of Veronese culture and gastronomy, the main ambassadors of the territory.

DVG represents an advanced model of integrated tourism promotion, aiming to make the Verona area an increasingly competitive, accessible, and sustainability-oriented destination, encouraging green practices in collaboration with local administrations. Digital innovation is a key factor in enhancing the tourist experience. In this context, the integration of the DMS has proven to be a unique tool for the integrated management of services, resources, and information, automating the processes of the tourism offering from a promo-commercial perspective. Furthermore, the exclusive collaboration with Mastercard allows a precise analysis of tourism trends from a spending perspective. Another pilot project led by the Foundation involves 10 hotels in collaboration with Amazon, equipping the accommodations with Alexa devices in voice concierge mode, connected to the Destination Management System, providing direct access to all the information needed to plan one’s stay.

Among the achieved objectives are the growing positioning of the destination abroad, entry into key markets such as the United States, Northern Europe, and Asia, as well as continuous participation in workshops and the most important national and international trade fairs. Southwest Greens Central Europe In City Golf Verona, presented by Destination Verona Garda, represents a valuable opportunity for the city of Verona to showcase its hospitality and organizational capabilities. The destination boasts a strong golf offering, allowing residents and tourists to enjoy a wide choice of courses to test their skills. Moreover, the event fits within the sporting framework surrounding Verona for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, where the Arena will host two key moments: the Closing Ceremony of the Olympics and the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympics.
